Open Panels and Gates

The 8-foot open panel has many uses, from making holding pens in the barn to forming stages areas in the handling sytem. The open panels are light weight, yet strong. The 6-bar panel is made out of 1 ¼-inch tubing and gives you maximum animal visiblity and ventilation. These panels are available in different lengths: 4, 5, 6, 8 ft.or custom off-sizes.

This 8-foot open panel is the same as OP41-08 except it is 49 inches high with 7 bars. If your animals like to jump, this is the panel for you. These panels are available in different lengths: 4, 5, 6, 8 ft. or custom off-sizes.

This panel has a G1435 3-foot door incorporated into an 8-foot open panel for times you need access in a 8-foot section. The door has welded hinges incorporated into a heavy U-frame. It has a spring loaded latch for easy entry. GP41-08 is ideal for making pens in the barn or handling system.

G1485 is two, 4-foot double doors hinged in an 8-foot, U-shaped frame. It works well at the entrance to the holding area to bring the sheep and goats into the system. Doors can be opened individually or at the same time to bring larger numbers of animals into the system without causing injury. The door's welded hinges are heavy duty.

The swing slide gate is used in conjunction with CP41-08 8-foot curved tub panels to form a half circle "crowding pen," not a forcing pen. When animals, they tend to go the opposite way. S44 linking rods are pushed slightly into the ground to maintain the circular shape of the system. A swing slide gate keeps the animals bunched at the entrance of the raceway and maintains the steady flow of animals into the system. The gate not only swings like a hinged door, but slides back through itself. When the gate is hinged up against the animals, another bunch can be brought in from behind. The gate can be pulled out between the two groups so they merge into one. Using this method, the flow of animals isn't interrupted. The crowding pen is formed into a U-shape because goats and sheep flow better around a corner. Animals enter the crowding pen from behind the work station, so if the shepherd is working by himself, everything is closer at hand. The gate slides on a nylon roller and pivots on ½ -inch pins. The swing slide gate can be changed to circle left or right to suit individual needs.

Tired of climbing over fences? Then, you need walk-thru doors for your barn or handling system. Open walk-thru doors come in two difference sizes, 3-foot and 4-foot long. They are also available in 41 or 49 inches high. Walk through doors are also available with horizontal or vertical bars. Doors have welded hinges incorporated into a heavy U-frame. They have a spring loaded latch.

VERTICAL BAR PANELS

This panel is a good choice for fair pens. It is available in lengths up to 8 feet. Panel has 1 ¼-inch tube frame with 3/8 inch solid rod verticals with 2 ½ -inch spaces and is 41 inches high. Panel's ¼-inch by 1 inch center strap is ideal to hang feeders on.

FAIR PENS

This 4-foot by 6-foot style vertical bar pen is good for sheep, goats, and hogs. This style of pen reduces animals from climbing as well as kids kids and keeps bedding in. Also has a bar to hang feeders on. Note other sizes and styles are available.

Adjustability and smooth operation make these the most unique creep gates on the market today. Roller action on a 3/8-inch pin make 7/8-inch rollers spin with ease and never bind up. Vertical and horizontal rollers adjust in width and height. Bars rolls as lambs and kids pass through, thereby reducing chances of rubs on the lambs. Goat model has more rollers.
